Collection of your data

The ETD website collects details from you when you fill in the forms with your personal and medical details and, if you have selected the option, your various destinations whilst travelling.

The explicit aim of collecting these details is to share them with:

  • Police and/or doctors should you encounter an emergency upon your travels and are not able to communicate.
    (This is shared via the personalised QR code which is generated by the website and sent only to you via email for your use whilst travelling. It is your responsibility to keep the QR code sufficiently safe during your travels so that others cannot access it).
  • If you choose the Destination by Destination option and you elect to duplicate your detination details with another member of your family or travelling party, then those details will be duplicated into their Destination records. This can only be achieved if they provide their Duplicate ID code.
  • Nobody else.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website. By using this website and by agreeing to these terms and conditions you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age. It is acceptable for a parent/guardian/relative/agent to access this website on your behalf.

Information We Collect

We collect information in multiple ways, including when you provide information directly to us; when we passively collect information from you, such as from your browser or device; and from third parties.

Information You Provide Directly to Us

We will collect any information you provide to us. We may collect information from you in a variety of ways, such as when you: (a) create an online account, (b) make a purchase, (c) contact us or provide a review. This information may include but is not limited to your name, email address, phone numbers, contact and doctors' names, payment information and your geographic location and those medical details you wish to provide.

You are explicitly providing your consent to display your personal details to police and medical personnel in the event of an even which leaves you unconcious.

If you do not think they this is reasonable, you must not use this website.

Access to your data

You will have complete access to the data you provide. You may edit it at will. The destination by destination data, should you choose that option, will only be stored for one week after your departure date and then will be automatically deleted.

Deletion of account

You will be able to delete all components of your account at any time. You will be provided with a link in your initial email with the express purpose to do so. Once gone, it cannot be retrieved.

Third party access of your data

Other than the police and medical staff who can only access your personal and destination details, no one can access your data without you providing them access.

Security Measures

We have implemented technical, physical, and organizational security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and/or alteration of your information. These safeguards vary based on the sensitivity of the information that we collect and store. However, we cannot and do not guarantee that these measures will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose your information since despite our efforts, no Internet and/or other electronic transmissions can be completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain the information we collect for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy or as long as we are legally required or permitted to do so. Information may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time.
